This is our third Convenor’s Report since we incorporated in March 2016. 

We have been working on climate action in this local area for nearly 14 years. It is frustrating work as the politics of climate change has become increasingly entrenched, and at the same time the task of reducing emissions has become increasingly urgent. Our message remains the same – stop emitting greenhouse gas in every possible way, and drawdown what is now way too much in the atmosphere. Our time is now running out to have actions in place to avert disaster, which may account for certain shrillness to the message, but our base continues to grow and our work in delivering this message has firmed into a recognisable pattern.
