Lighter Footprints (LF) is joining with Eastern Climate Action Melbourne (ECAM) to encourage local people to be more engaged with their local councils to support councils effective and timely action on climate change.
Notwithstanding the progress made and the urgent need to keep dealing with COVID-19, disillusionment with the Federal Government on the climate emergency is palpable. However, respect for the State Government and Local Government is not so compromised.
This Community Meeting will focus on the Canterbury to Box Hill area (the eastern wards of Boroondara Council and the western wards of Whitehorse Council. It provides a chance for citizens/voters to express their concerns about the climate emergency in positive and effective ways that affect their local area.
