Chisholm Community Future Energy Forum

Location: Mt Waverley Youth Centre, 45 Miller Crest, Mt Waverley
Come to our free Community Future Energy Forum. Australia’s energy system is changing right now. Our shift away from coal and gas to clean distributed energy systems will lower household energy bills, create highly skilled jobs, clean manufacturing and green exports. Hear from Chisholm candidates about their policies to grasp these opportunities and ensure a safer climate future for our kids. Moderation by A/Prof Christopher Leung, MBBS, FRACP, Doctors for the Environment; Dr Carina Garland, ALP, Dr Katie Allen, LNP, Tim Randall, Greens and Kathy Davies, Voices for Chisholm will be speaking
Who will support rooftop solar, home batteries, EV’s and electrification of houses for all, including renters? Who has the vision to secure a clean, sustainable future for us all this decade? Which candidate has the best policies to ensure that Australia benefits as the world decarbonises? Join us at the Mount Waverley Youth Centre on Tuesday 18th March, at 7:00pm for a 7.30pm start. Listen to the candidates, ask them questions and be better informed.
The discussion will opened by Heidi Douglas CEO, Solar Citizens and by Peizhi Jiang, Climate Advocate and Community Organiser, Environment Victoria. This forum offers the opportunity for you to get a sense of the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates and their energy policies. There is nothing quite like seeing them on stage answering the hard questions. This event is organised and supported by Chisholm Climate Action Network, which includes Lighter Footprints.
