Climate For Change: Come and Join the Conversation
Location: The Marwal Centre, 9 Marwal Avenue, Balwyn North
For our first in person meeting in since 2019 we are doing something special! Bring a friend and join us at 6:30pm for a casual pizza dinner followed by a facilitated climate conversation.
We know that having conversations with neighbours, friends and relatives is a way of bringing people on the journey towards climate awareness and action. At this meeting we will be joined by Climate for Change trained facilitators who will help us to have these effective climate conversations.
Since 2014 Climate For Change has facilitated over 1,000 group climate conversations. Lighter Footprints is keen to see Climate for Change conversations happening all over the eastern suburbs and we hope that this event will kick off that process. We ask that you bring a friend, preferably not someone of your generation and not someone who has already committed to climate action, but no climate change deniers please. We will break into groups of 12-15 people, each with a Climate for Change facilitator, and we will participate in one of these nationally recognised conversations.
Breaking with tradition, we will be charging $10 per “pair” for this event. The $10 tickets will cover the cost of a pizza dinner for two, and hopefully ensure all of our RSVPs attend. You can entice your friend with the offer of a delicious pizza meal!
We know many of our supporters already come to our meetings in pairs or couples, and while we’re certainly not going to ask you to buy two tickets if you come as a couple, we’d love you to try and recruit a friend each!
