Getting active in New Kooyong
Did you know the electorate of Kooyong grew prior to the 2025 Federal election due to a boundary redistribution and now extends south of the Monash freeway? It takes in part of what was previously the Higgins electorate including Kooyong, Toorak, Prahran east of Williams Rd, Armadale, Malvern and Malvern East. Welcome to Kooyong, one of the original 65 Federation electorates!
Let’s aim higher on climate!
We are excited to launch a new working group called ‘New Kooyong’ with a view to raising our ambition on climate in this area.
This group plans to engage in community outreach with street conversations and public events as well as advocacy to local representatives

Join the New Kooyong climate action group to find others in your area who care about a safer climate future. We’ll get together regularly and build a team for education, advocacy for electrification, better climate targets, getting off gas, and support for EV, active transport and PT.

Whether it is inviting people to an event with experts on topic like batteries, climate resilience and health, or making homes more comfortable and affordable, getting out there and interacting with the community is a key focus of the New Kooyong climate action group. It’s time to accelerate progress on green exports and clean manufacturing!
Education and advocacy
Understand the risks, and how climate action benefits our families, our energy bills and our future
If people knew more how getting off household gas improves our health, or how aiming higher on climate and working faster on clean energy boosts the economy, then it would be easier to gather the necessary support for better climate policy. That is where organising events and speaking to decision makers comes in.
Vote climate campaigns
Making sure that constituents have accurate information about climate policies
Vote climate campaigns really work! Over key metrics like targets, support for solar and electrification and the clean energy transition, we rate the candidates and parties on their published policies, and deliver this information across the electorate, so people can make an informed decision when they vote.
