Vote Climate Pub Night: State Election Campaign 2026

Imagine a State government that accelerated support for homeowners and renters to achieve full electrification, stopped new coal and gas projects and closed native forest logging loopholes. This is not a pipe dream. Vote Climate campaigns are powerful and we are putting together a team to plan and execute our non-partisan campaign. Will you be part of it?
Victorians will go to the polls on 28 November and we want to make sure voters in the Kew and Hawthorn electorates understand the key climate issues and know how to vote for strong climate candidates. Help us shape our election campaign and find out how you can be involved at our Vote Climate Pub Night, Wednesday 29th April 7pm at the Elgin Hotel, Hawthorn. We are looking for people who are prepared to roll up their sleeves and join our core election team. Join us for a drink and a meal at pub prices, find out what we have planned and share your ideas.
We are looking to develop teams that will help organise events, candidate forums, letterboxing, Saturday conversations, candidate meetings, social media, scorecards and more. Bring your enthusiasm and your ideas. We can’t do this without you!
Elections offer our most significant opportunities to achieve change.
- They give us the chance to engage with our community when they are tuned into politics.
- We can raise the profile of key climate issues and put high quality information into the hands of voters.
- We won’t tell people how to vote but we will tell them where the candidates stand on climate so that they can vote for strong climate candidates, if they so desire.
- Elections also allow us to push key policy agendas with all candidates – starting this process early is important.
Elections can be won with the slimmest of margins. Tim Wilson MP won in Goldstein by175 votes. Would a non-partisan Vote Climate campaign have made a difference?
