Lighter Footprints has asked Dr Ryan MP to speak about her climate priorities for her second term in Parliament. Climate is a key concern for her constituents and the policy of the Albanese government, particularly on new coal and gas, leaves much to be desired. What can Dr Ryan and other sympathetic members of the cross-bench do to influence Labor's policies? What are the roadblocks to better climate policy and how can they be shifted? On which climate issues will Dr Ryan focus her attention in this 48th Parliament?

Dr Ryan will be joind in conversation with energy and carbon markets economist Tristan Edis. Tristan is the Director - Analysis and Advisory at Green Energy Markets and brings a wealth of experience in analysing climate and energy policy to this discussion. Together they will explore the key policiy issues and opportunities to achieve better climate outcomes.

We are particulary interested to hear their assessment of what type of community pressure is most effective at influencing government policy.

All climate issues will be on the table and there will be ample opportunity for you to ask the difficult questions.
